Dear Lord, I pray in Your name,
Because I’m truly grateful, for the day I became,
A follower of You, a life no longer to blame,
For such selfishness always, constant provider of pain.
So as always, I’ll start my prayer, with a “God, how are You?
Please be with my family in Heaven, and those suffering here, too.
Please forgive me my sins, because I’m no more than a man,
I can’t change the world, but I know that You can.
I’m also sorry, the devil took.. such a hold of my core,
And whilst I’ve the strength now, to instead talk to You and ignore,
And throw myself in my Faith, Lord I beg and I plead,
You keep allowing me to escape, from the devil’s evil and greed.
Keep me following You, Lord, as I desperately try to earn Your worth,
‘Cos I know wealth means nothing, if you’ve only got it on earth.
Dear Lord, I’m indebted to a Saviour, of our entire humanity,
I’m told He would have died on that cross, for if it was just me.
I hope tomorrow will provide, for some, a better day,
There’s so many lost souls that need You, and for them I will pray.
So that’s about it… goodnight, Lord, ‘til I pray to you again,
