A letter from an Angel.

No Commission In Religion.

A letter from an Angel.

So, there’s a place called heaven, where the faithful excel,

And a more likely place for you, which is a place called hell.

Now heaven has a strict welcoming policy, people like you cannot simply reserve it,

And when you finally meet up with the Lord, can you say you deserve it?

It’s not so much you’re bad, or that God doesn’t love you as a son,

It’s the mentality you’ve had, the selfish person you’ve become.

But there is kindness in your heart, which I truly believe,

Jesus died for that kindness, a free blessing you received.

Yes, admittedly you’re grieving, with significant loss,

Jesus went through it too, when He was nailed to a cross.

I’ll give you this one last chance, for you to atone,

If you wish to see your Maker, and sit by His Throne.

It shouldn’t take divine intervention, or an Angels letter,

For you to realise yourself, you can be so much better.

Rude and offensive, egotistic and greedy at times,

Being sucked into pain infliction, with criminal minds.

I get that hurt people hurt people, but even so,

The things you’d do to score, the lengths you will go.

It’s scary in a way, the potential you have,

And that you’re trading everything, for contents in a bag.

Whilst you’ve got the ability, to turn things around,

We must come to the conclusion, that you are hell-bound.

So continue with drugs, and the sinful life you desire,

But you’ll soon wish you hadn’t when you’re burning in fire.

A Letter to an Angel:

Thank you, dear angel, for the message you once gave,

Thank you, dear Lord, for letting me be the person you Saved.

From drugs and violence and other sinful things

To becoming a nurse, a father and wearing wedding rings.

These are all accomplishments, I couldn’t do on my own,

But with thanks to my God, I wasn’t doing it alone.

Praying the pain away, getting rid of the hurts,

A prominent figure I strive to be, as a greeter in Your church.

The thing is when people ask, how you do it? What was your plan?

I simply reply just being grateful and be the best person I can.

No longer using my trauma as excuses, but using it as fuel,

No longer concerned of outward stature, respect or being cool.

Just aiming to be the best husband/friend and father of two,

And when my time is up, having the Lord say “I’m proud of you”.

So, I guess I’m now in a position, where I do deserve heaven,

So, if it’s cool with you, Angel, I’ll reserve table eleven.
